Sebastian Szyller has been appointed assistant professor at Aalto University Department of Computer Science as from 1 September 2025. Sebastian’s Trustworthy & Adversarial Computing Lab conducts multidisciplinary research at the intersection of machine learning, security and privacy. It takes a holistic approach in developing trustworthy intelligent systems.
“We have great faculty that cover fundamental security, machine learning and adjacent areas. I want to build on this foundation by creating a hub for trustworthy adversarial machine learning research that attracts top talent and fosters collaboration across institutions (both academia and industry).”
